What does a penguin look for in a home? Where would a dinosaur keep its books? How does a bunny wind down after a long day of hopping around? Learn the skills Architects use to uncover answers to questions like these at the Designing for a Friend Workshop!
Kids (K-5) and their parent/guardian will adopt a stuffed animal "client," get to know their new friend by asking questions, discover their needs and wants, dream up creative solutions, and then design and build a one-of-a-kind house to take their new friend home in! Along the way, our event hosts will help the young architects practice skills real architects use every day: listening, imagining, problem-solving, and designing! No architectural experience is necessary! Light snacks and drinks will be provided to keep the creativity flowing.
